We specialize in certifying, assessing, developing, and coaching the hard skills of emotional intelligence (EI). We believe emotions are data and should always be considered when making important decisions and leveraged to help build trust and strengthen relationships. We believe there are no good or bad emotions, and ALL emotions can be helpful, when we learn to embrace and leverage them to reach our goals and objectives.
We use the ability-based model of EI developed by Peter Salovey and John (Jack) Mayer. They defined emotional intelligence as “the ability to monitor one’s own and others’ feelings, to discriminate among them, and to use this information to guide one’s thinking and action.” (Salovey & Mayer (1990). Over the years, their theory was applied to create the “EI Blueprint” (Caruso & Salovey, 2004). When we use the EI Blueprint, we have an essential tool and framework to help us tackle challenges in the best possible way – through and with emotions!
We use the MSCEIT (Mayer Salovey Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test) to assess your EI acumen. After completing the test, we provide a one-hour debrief session and your test results in a 27-page Resource Report. The MSCEIT (Mayer Salovey Caruso Emotional Intelligence Test) is the most rigorous EI test on the market and is a performance, or ability, based approach where your responses are based on the “correct” responses of 21 international emotion researchers. We use the MSCEIT results to help identify your strengths and possible gaps in EI.
We are ready to partner with you to bring Emotional Intelligence from theory to practice. Individuals and teams who are high in emotional intelligence:
We offer a variety of workshops, classes, and presentations that can be tailored to your unique needs. Please contact us for more information.
We have teamed up with David Caruso, co-author of the MSCEIT, to offer a 2-day MSCEIT Certification course. Participants will have the opportunity to take the MSCEIT, receive feedback on their results, and review pre-work before attending the course. Once you pass the exam, you will be certified to administer the MSCEIT to others. Additionally, you can use your newfound knowledge to help others practice EI. For more information, please click here.
We offer one-on-one coaching to assist our clients in strengthening and leveraging their emotional intelligence. We encourage clients to take the MSCEIT as many people overestimate their EI or are surprised by their results. We help make meaning of your MSCEIT results, how they show up in your life, and how to leverage emotions to strengthen relationships, reduce stress, and solve complex challenges.
